Deep Cleaning

Periodontal disease, although not curable, is highly treatable at Crystal Clear Dental. If diagnosed, we may recommend a treatment known as “deep cleaning” or scaling and root planing. This specialized procedure involves our dental hygienist Dr. Ali Ibrahim using a topical or local numbing agent for your comfort, then gently removing plaque, bacteria, and tartar from the root surfaces and deeper periodontal pockets. This comprehensive process aids in tissue stabilization and healing, aiming to reduce bleeding and inflammation caused by bacteria and tartar, while also helping to prevent further bone loss and tissue destruction. Following your scaling and root planing treatment at Crystal Clear Dental, we will schedule regular maintenance care to ensure the disease does not recur and your oral health remains stable.
